Resumo

Este trabalho teve como objetivo fazer o levantamento etnobotânico das plantas aromáticas, condimentares e medicinais utilizadas na Comunidade Vila Princesa e associar esta utilização aos dados etnossociais da população. Foram aplicados questionários estruturados a 76 moradores, identificando-se as plantas utilizadas como medicinal, a finalidade terapêutica, as partes vegetais mais utilizadas e o modo de uso; desta através de bibliografia especializada foram destacadas as aromáticas e condimentares. Além disso, identificou-se também a forma de aquisição dos conhecimentos acerca das plantas, o nível de escolaridade e a renda mensal dos entrevistados. Como resultado, identificou-se 47 espécies em uso na comunidade, distribuídas em 30 famílias botânicas, com maior representatividade para a família Rutaceae. As partes mais utilizadas das plantas foram às folhas e o modo de preparo mais usual foi o chá. As doenças mais citadas foram gripe e resfriado. O conhecimento sobre as plantas medicinais foi adquirido principalmente por meio dos pais e parentes. Predominou o nível de escolaridade Fundamental (1º ao 5º ano) e renda mensal de um a dois salários mínimos.

ABSTRACT: This study aimed to identify, through ethnobotanical perspective, aromatic herbs, spices and medicinal uses in the Vila Princesa’s Community, and relate these uses with the data of the etnossocial aspects of the population. Structures questionnaires were applied to 76 residents, identifying the plants used as medicinal, their therapeutic purpose, the most frequently parts used and the ways there are used. And through specialized literature the aromatic and the spices were differentiated.  In addition, we identified algo the way of acquiring knowledge about the plants, the level of education and monthly income of the respondents. As a result, we identified 47 species in use in the community, distributed in 30 botanical families, with greater representation for the Rutaceae family. The most used parts were the leaves and most usual method of preparation was the tea. The most frequent diseases were cold and flu. The knowledge of the medicinal plants has been acquired mainly through parents and relatives. We found as predominant the basic school level (1st to 5th grade) and the monthly income of one to two minimum salary(ies).
